intact ® Breast Biopsy
System
When detected early, breast cancer can be curable.
If your mammogram is abnormal, your doctor may recommend a breast
biopsy to diagnose the abnormality.
intact is a minimally invasive breast biopsy technique that
is more comfortable and actually more accurate than conventional
breast biopsy methods. It provides a good sample for pathological
study with a small incision.
intact makes it possible to more accurately diagnose an
abnormality with the initial biopsy. Usually, it spares the patient
additional invasive surgical procedures.
General Surgeon Joseph Ronaghan, M.D. provides intact biopsy
services at Hunt Regional Medical Center at Greenville.
The system was developed by Neothermia Corporation, a leader in
the development of minimally invasive cancer diagnosis techniques.
Neothermia President and CEO Thomas M. Tully says, "We are
delighted that the medical and patient community in Hunt County
now has access to the benefits of the intact breast biopsy
system, thanks to Dr. Ronaghan."
Your doctor's office will schedule your intact biopsy appointment.
